Q: What area do you cover?
A: We work mainly in Dorset and surrounding counties.
Q: What time will my chef arrive and require access to the cooking site?
A: At Rustic Roast we can cook the meat onsite but as we cook the pig for up to 8 hours, we normally pre Roast the meat prior to arriving at the venue, we just need approximately 2 hours setup time before service.
Q: Do you need access to power?
A: We only need power for lighting if the roast is to be served outside after dusk (2 normal plug sockets) Our machines cook on bottled lpg
Q: What staff are supplied?
A: With our catered options we supply one experienced chef to cook, carve and serve your Hog Roast we can also supply A front of house member of staff to help serve and clean the venue
Q: How long will my Hog Roast be served for?
A: Normal we serve for up to 1 hour from the pre determined booking time, A more leisurely service time can delivered at a extra cost if required!
Q: How many people can you feed?
A: We can cook a roast from our small table top machine which can fed feed 20 people up to our largest machine which can feed up to 150+ this is done by roasting different sized pigs which are priced accordingly
Q: Do you supply veggie or other meat options?
A: We can supply veggie options, lamb, chicken, beef or turkey. POA
Q: Are you trained, registered and insured
A: our staff are put through a basic food hygiene course, we are a registered catering company with purbeck district council, we also have public liability insurance up to 5million,
Q: What happens if there are any leftovers?
A: At the end of service any remaining food can be left onsite, we can supply containers and platters at an extra cost
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Catered options include a 3x3m gazebo to cover the cooking and serving area.
Q: If I choose a hire option do I have to clean the machine?
A: Yes, or a £50 charge is levied if the machine is collected dirty.
